The Foot and Ankle Center of the SWISS ORTHO CENTER (Swiss Fusschirurgie Center / Foot Center Basel / Zentrum OSG-Totalprothesen Basel) is a prestigious center for foot surgery and ankle surgery, nationally and internationally recognized, for innovation and academic teaching and research.
Either posttraumatic, congenital or acquired deformities in the foot and ankle area are treated in a way individually tailored to the patient, this based on the latest research findings and literature.
The Foot and Ankle Center of the SWISS ORTHO CENTER is a center for the treatment of osteoarthritis of the ankle, specializing in the implantation of ankle joint prosthesis (total ankle replacement) or joint conservation through osteotomies and cartilage surgery.
Another internationally recognized expertise of the Foot and Ankle Center is the sports orthopaedics and treatment of sports injuries of the ankle and foot: osteochondral lesions, ligament lesions, tendon lesions (Achilles, ...), fractures and others.

The Osteoarthritis Center of SWISS ORTHO CENTER is a center of excellence with recognition across the borders and part of the Osteoarthritis Research Center Basel (www.osteoarthritis.ch). The Osteoarthritis Center works according to the situation and individual patient needs, both by conservative treatments or by using the latest advances in surgery.
In Osteoarthritis Center, patients are diagnosed using modern methods such as SPECT-CT (modern precision diagnosis of active arthritis). Depending on the severity, patients are assessed interdisciplinary: Orthopaedics, Rheumatology, Neurology, Neural therapy, Orthopaedic Technicians, Physiotherapy.

The Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Center of SWISS ORTHO CENTER is a center for the treatment of sports injuries for both the recreational athlete as well as the professional athlete. In close cooperation with general practitioners, referring physicians, team doctors, physiotherapists, coaches, managers, athletes are treated either conservatively or surgically depending on lesion.
In the Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Center of the SWISS ORTHO CENTER acute or chronic lesions are treated by:
